The California Highway Patrol responded to one fatal crash near Ojai at 12:45 a.m. and another near Oxnard at about 4:20 a.m.
Two women are dead and their 22-year-old Navy roommate has been arrested in a shooting at their home on Hanging Moss Drive in Clay County.
The California Highway Patrol said Fifth Street was closed between Las Posas and Pleasant Valley in Camarillo to investigate the crash.
