Thousands of people have gathered in cities across the US to join protests against President Donald Trump, hours ahead of his military parade in Washington DC.The demonstrations organised by a group called "No Kings" was billed as a nationwide day of defiance of his policies.
“The most threatening sound to an oligarch is laughter.”
A flagship "No Kings" march and rally are planned in Philadelphia, but no events are scheduled to take place in Washington, D.C., where the military parade will take place on Trump's 79th birthday. Organizers of the protests say they want to take attention away from the parade.
