The Indiana National Guard says a 34-year-old soldier serving in Iraq has died in a non-combat incident. Capt. Eric Richard Hart of Indianapolis, Indiana, died Saturday.

Capt. Eric Hart, 34, of Indianapolis died Saturday in Iraq as a result of what the Department of Defense called a non-combat related incident.

A Hoosier deployed to Iraq as part of Operation Inherent Resolve with the Indiana National Guard died last week, as confirmed by the Department of Defense. Capt. Eric Richard Hart, of Indianapolis, was 34.
