Georgia basketball was within striking distance late against No. 1 Auburn but the Tigers fended off the No. 23 Bulldogs in Athens

Georgia fought until the end in 68-70 loss to Auburn Saturday afternoon in Athens. After coming back from down 16 early, Georgia's comeback effort fell just short. This loss makes the Bulldogs 14-4 on the season and 2-3 in SEC play.

Georgia entered the Associated Press Top 25 poll Monday for the first time in 14 years. One day later, on Tuesday, the Bulldogs played at Tennessee. Four days after that, on Saturday, they'll host Auburn.
