He joins the multi-7-RBI-game club. The Yankees needed all of that Rice production in a crazy 12-8 win over the Cardinals.

Goldschmidt's career was at a crossroads when he signed a one-year contract with the Yankees, coming off a steep decline in his final season with the St. Louis Cardinals. But although he hasn't rebounded to his 2022 Most Valuable Player form, it's clear the 37-year-old still has plenty to offer.

With Rice consistently hitting balls harder than most big leaguers not named Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton, his receiving skills steadily improving and Wells’ average down to .208, it looks like the Yankees suddenly have a platoon at catcher.
