Drew Carey said he sought to make "The Price is Right" his own after iconic host Bob Barker retired from the game show in 2007 after 35 years.

Carey told Jimmy Kimmel that he’s hosted 3,317 episodes of The Price Is Right, who then responded that Barker hosted 6,731. “You’re almost halfway there, you only have to do 18 more years,” Kimmel quipped. Though Carey has hosted the game show since 2007, he spoke candidly about taking his time to make his mark on the show.
