Manchester City have signed four players in time for the Club World Cup. This follows the completion ofa £46m move for Tijjani Reijnders from AC Milan on

Reijnders is City’s fourth addition of the transfer window after leftback Rayan Ait-Nouri, winger Rayan Cherki and goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli. The expanded 32-team Club World Cup runs from June 14 to July 13 in the US with US$1 billion in prize money at stake.

Despite four seasons at Stamford Bridge, his solitary competitive outing for Chelsea came in an FA Cup tie against Chesterfield in 2022. However, his standing within the game is far from that of a forgotten man.
