Cobra Kai co-creator Josh Heald has revealed the show invited Hilary Swank to return to her role as Julie Pierce from 1994’s The Next Karate Kid, but the Oscar winner turned them down.

The Oscar-winning actress opted not to return to her roots with a cameo in the Netflix series. Swank previously starred in 1994’s “The Next Karate Kid” in the lead role.

Hilary Swank said thanks, but no thanks. The creators of the hit Netflix show “Cobra Kai” have revealed that they tried to get Swank, 50, to appear in the popular “Karate Kid” sequel series.
