Tropical Storm Keli has dissipated, while Iona has weakened to a tropical storm as it moves further away from the Hawaiian Islands. Iona was located about 730 miles south-southwest of Honolulu, packing maximum sustained winds of 65 mph.

Hurricane Iona was expected to move westward and does not pose any land threat to the Hawaiian Islands, forecasters said.

Iona remains a major Category 3 hurricane but is starting to weaken as it continues on a track keeping it well south of Hawaii. Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Keli is maintaining is intensity as a weak tropical storm to the southeast of the state.
