Law enforcement agencies across Southern California violated state law more than 100 times last month by sharing information from automated license plate readers with federal agents, records show.
More than 75% of people booked into ICE custody in fiscal year 2025 had no criminal conviction other than an immigration or traffic-related offense, according to ICE records from October through the end of May. And less than 10% were convicted of serious crimes like murder, assault, robbery or rape.
"ICE received a tip about A-plus Roofing's employment of illegal aliens in Key West, Florida," DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin told Newsweek.
