A historic lodge on the Grand Canyon’s North Rim has been destroyed by a fast-moving wildfire, the park said Sunday.
Evacuations have been ordered for the area north of Jacob Lake, in northern Arizona, due to the White Sage Fire.
The White Sage Fire near the North Rim has grown to more than 19,000 acres, authorities said, while the nearby Dragon Bravo Fire has burned at least 5,000 acres.
