A multi-vehicle crash on the M5 is causing severe delays on the M5 this afternoon (October 20). The collision has happened on the northbound carriageway by J19 Portishead. There is currently congestion to after Clapton-in-Gordano. All traffic was held at one point, reports Inrix, which first reported the crash shortly after 4pm.

Police say they are at the scene of a crash “involving a number of vehicles” on the M5 motorway near Belfast. It has been reported that up to six vehicles are involved in the collision. The M5 has been closed between Greencastle and Rushpark.

Friday traffic delays have kicked off on the M5 in Somerset after a crash. Traffic is queuing in the southbound direction between Clevedon and Portishead after a crash and fuel spillage on the motorway.

Police have shared an update after a three-vehicle crash on the M5 is continuing to cause delays this afternoon (October 20). The incident was first reported shortly after 4pm, when all three lanes of traffic on the M5 northbound, at J19 for Portishead, were held at a standstill following the crash.
