Cities and towns across the country held “No Kings” rallies, as a “nationwide day of defiance” against alleged corruption in the federal government, including several in Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts.

Despite peaceful demonstrations reported in multiple cities, violence flared at some anti-Trump protests over the weekend.

After a weekend of anti-Trump “No Kings” protests held across the country, several cities — including Salt Lake City — are dealing with the aftermath of instances of violence. The protests were held in more than 2,
