In 2024, Patterson signed with the Mike Tomlin and the Pittsburgh Steelers, the sixth team of his career. The 34-year-old spent most of the season as a kick returner but has career totals of 2,875 receiving yards and 2,646 rushing yards.

Before the Pittsburgh Steelers were able to agree to terms on their one-year deal with future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers, not everyone loved the idea of him becoming the team's new quarterback. One outspoken critic was team legend Terry Bradshaw. Before the signing, Bradshaw had offered a very critical take about Rodgers.

Legendary former Pittsburgh quarterback Terry Bradshaw was one of the most vocal opposers of the addition of Rodgers to the Steelers' quarterbacks room, and he made his thoughts abundantly clear on the matter during a May radio appearance on 103.7 The Buzz in Arkansas.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have a one year rental in Aaron Rodgers. However, they could trade for a current Packers QB to be his successor following this season.
