Created by activist Maulana Karenga, Kwanzaa is observed December 26th through January 1st with each day has a significant meaning. The fourth day is UJAMAA, which means COOPERATIVE ECONOMICS.

Kwanzaa, a vibrant celebration of African heritage and culture, spans seven days from December 26 to January 1, uniting Black communities in the United States, Canada, the Caribbean and beyond.
