South Shore Tech's Dillon O'Brien has been voted the South Shore High School Football Defensive/Special Teams Player of the Week. The sophomore received 25% of votes to earn the honor. In a 42-20 win over Monomoy, he returned a kick for a touchdown. He also ran for 138 yards, 2 scores and hauled in a TD pass.

OU football linebacker Owen Heinecke was named SEC Defensive Player of the week for his performance and also recorded his first career forced fumble.

Tennessee is recruiting toward its 2027 football signing class. Four-star defensive lineman Ben’Jarvius Shumaker named Tennessee in his top 12 schools, along with Missouri, Texas, Purdue, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Louisville and Miami.
