Starfleet Academy has been renewed for a second season even before its premiere. Additionally, Tatiana Maslany is set to guest star in the first season. The announcements were made during the Star Trek universe panel at New York Comic Con,

Starfleet Academy hasn’t even aired yet but has already been renewed for a second, a huge get for the latest expansion of the franchise. Added to this, Tatiana Maslany – who fully broke out in more ways than one with Marvel’s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law – has also been named as a cast member.

Starfleet Academy has been renewed for Season 2 at Paramount+ while Season 1 is still in production. The early renewal was announced by executive producer, co-showrunner, director and franchise boss Alex Kurtzman on a livestream from the show’s Toronto set during the Star Trek universe panel at New York Comic-Con on Saturday.
