Grace Presbyterian Church, 8375 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, is offering a free Old Testament survey course, "The Holy Bible, Just the Basics," at 9:30 a.m. Sundays in the church conference room.

Longtime Samford University Professor Sigurd Bryan, who taught Old Testament in parts of six different decades, has died. Bryan, a professor from 1956-2002, died on March 8. He was 96.

It is entitled A Survey, of Old Testament Introduction and is published by Moody Press. Thoroughly conservative in its theological viewpoint, it is also of unquestionable scholarship.
