Slovakia's Prime Minister Robert Fico has been injured Wednesday in a shooting inside the country, while authorities have taken a suspect into custody.

The clip showed Prime Minister Robert Fico greeting a crowd on Wednesday afternoon, when a man in a white shirt lunged across the crowd with a pistol pointed at the politician.

Slovakian media named the suspect as Juraj Cintula, a 71-year-old poet who was a member of the pro-Russian paramilitary group Slovenskí Branci.
