Standing 70 to 100 feet, a different Norway spruce attracts crowds to Rockefeller Center every holiday season.

Walmart currently has some seriously discounted artificial trees. The 6.5' Un-Lit Jackson Spruce Artificial Christmas Tree is only $24 at Walmart right now. The biggest discount is on the 9' Pre-Lit Frisco Pine Artificial Christmas Tree, which was $292 and is now $99 at Walmart.

These trees stand out amid annual festivals or have their own place within government buildings, public attractions or city centers.

No matter how you celebrate after New Year’s, if you choose to keep your tree in your house, be sure to water it frequently, turn off lights when they are not in use, and avoid burning candles near the tree. When the needles begin to dry out, even with regular waterings, remove all decorations and hardware, and plan to dispose of the tree.
