Sundai was born in New London on September 4, 1971, and graduated Old Saybrook High School class of 1990. After high school, Sundai relocated to Hartford where she attended business school.

"Sundai was her. She was a spitting image of her mom," he said. With Legare gone, being Sundai's dad is what keeps him going. "We might not see her no more. But she's in Sundai," he said.
