The House GOP has ordered the Energy and Commerce Committee, which oversees Medicare and Medicaid funding, to cut $880 billion in a bill to advance Trump's agenda.

After Speaker of the House Mike Johnson insisted that the GOP budget resolution would not affect Medicaid and Medicare, the budget office confirmed that Republicans cannot meet their budget target without cutting these Programs.

The nonpartisan bookkeeper said there’s no other way to cut $1.5 trillion from the budget over the next decade.
