Rodgers has met with the team's top brass and saw his other potential NFL options whittled away as other quarterback-needy teams made decisions, but has yet to make a final decision. While reports indicate that the Steelers are confidence he will ultimately sign in Pittsburgh, Rodgers has kept the team waiting.

Pittsburgh went 10-7 and made the playoffs in 2024 under quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Justin Fields. Wilson signed with the New York Giants while Fields went to the Jets to replace Rodgers, so the position is open for the taking.

Aaron Rodgers remains unsigned deep into the NFL offseason and no movement is expected any time soon. On Thursday, ESPN NFL insider Peter Schrager joined the Pat McAfee Show and discussed Rodgers and where things stand with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
