Alabama football has added depth to its tight end room through the NCAA transfer portal with a pickup from a Power Four program.

A former three-star recruit out of Anderson High School in Cincinnati, Sammarco earned All-State honors after recording 315 yards and five touchdowns on 27 catches in high school. His combination of size, blocking ability, and potential as a pass-catcher makes him a strong fit for Alabama’s offensive system.

Alabama football added depth at what had been one of its thinnest positions during spring football on Wednesday. Tight end Jack Sammarco, previously of West Virginia, committed to the Crimson Tide out of the transfer portal.
