The State Department is reportedly ordering the departure of all nonessential personnel from the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq. It will also authorize non-essential personnel to leave from other Middle East nations in the region.

The source revealed to Kurdistan24: that the embassy staff had already begun transferring sensitive documents, equipment, and logistical supplies out of the embassy. As of this morning, local Iraqi employees were instructed not to report for work until further notice.
