Shares of Royal Caribbean Group ( RCL 12.94%) hit an all-time high today after the cruise ship operator reported solid earnings and strong guidance, as well as made a major new announcement. The stock, which has more than doubled over the past year, was trading higher by 13.4% at 1:45 p.m. ET.

The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.50 per share. The cruise operator posted revenue of $3.76 billion in the period, which did not meet Street forecasts.
