The system is moving in the same direction and similar path to Erin, heading westward to west-northwestward at 15 to 20 miles per hour.
The first hurricane of 2025 in the Atlantic continued to track north of Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands on Sunday morning, hitting those islands with heavy rain and gusty winds. Erin is expected to move away from the islands later today and begin to curve more to the north.
Puerto Rico (San Juan): Variably cloudy skies with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms Friday. Highs near 91°F with east winds at 10–15 mph. Conditions will worsen over the weekend, with 90% rain chances on Sunday and breezy south-southwest winds up to 20 mph as Erin passes north.
