New Jersey is under a flood watch today, and officials are warning residents to be careful and pay attention to conditions.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for all of New Jersey and the surrounding region for July 31 to Aug. 1.

A tornado warning has been issued for parts of Somerset and Middlesex counties as severe storms start to hit New Jersey on Thursday afternoon.
