Signs point to SiriusXM not renewing its contract with radio legend Howard Stern—and his employees are preparing for the change. According to Howard Stern’s employees, “the writing has been on the wall for well over a year” that SiriusXM wouldn’t be renewing the radio host’s $500 million contract.

Stern can’t stand SiriusXM colleague Alex Cooper, the host of the podcasting behemoth Call Her Daddy, because of how big her empire has gotten, according to the U.S. Sun. The animosity runs so deep that SiriusXM works to keep them apart whenever the Los Angeles-based Cooper visits SiriusXM’s New York offices, according to the paper.

All of those rumors come from a story published by The U.S. Sun which said that the satellite radio and streaming provider would not re-up Stern when his contract runs out at the end of the year. Instead, according to the report, SiriusXM would look to make a deal with Stern for his catalogue.
