The woman who police say drove the wrong way in the southbound lanes early Thursday, killing a Jeep Cherokee driver, is charged with intoxication manslaughter.
TxDOT says road work will force the closure of the ramp linking the southbound lanes of the two highways, starting at 9 p.m. Friday.
Police estimate the woman drove the wrong way on the North Freeway for about 10 to 15 minutes before the crash.
Monica Rosenda Valdez, 32, is accused of crashing a Ford F-150 into a Jeep on Interstate 45 and killing the vehicle's driver.
