Coachella organizers were reportedly "blindsided" when the Northern Ireland hip-hop group Kneecap projected anti-Israel messages.

On social media, Sharon Osbourne lambasted Coachella for compromising its “moral and spiritual integrity” and the band for “incorporating aggressive political statements” into their act. She concluded her lengthy missive (in which she accused the band of “openly [supporting] terrorist organizations”) by urging her followers “to join me in advocating for the revocation of Kneecap’s work visa.

The band from Northern Ireland said on social media that those messages were supposed to have appeared during its Weekend 1 set as well, but "our messaging on the US-backed genocide in Gaza somehow never appeared on screens either.
