Angels interim manager Ray Montgomery came out to argue with Bacchus after the at-bat and was ejected after a heated back-and-forth. A half-inning later, Angels offensive coordinator Tim Laker was ejected for barking at Bacchus. The Mets hung on for the 6-3 win, completing a three-game sweep of the Angels.
Left-hander Jake Eder gives up four runs in the third inning, which is too much for the Angels to overcome in a 6-3 loss to the Mets.
The win tied the Mets atop the NL East with the Philadelphia Phillies ahead of the latter team’s bout with the Boston Red Sox on Wednesday night. However, the team is still searching for help on the trade market, via The New York Post’s Jon Heyman.
