Olympic gold medalist Sha'Carri Richardson addressed her recent arrest following an alleged domestic violence incident for the first time publicly and apologized to her boyfriend, Christian Coleman.

In surveillance footage from the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, Richardson is seen shoving Coleman near a TSA Checkpoint, which resulted in law enforcement intervening. Following the incident, she was taken into custody and held for nearly 19 hours at the SCORE South Correctional Facility in Des Moines, Washington.

Sha’Carri Richardson is speaking out in the wake of her domestic violence arrest. On Tuesday, Aug. 12, the Olympic gold and silver medalist extended an apology in two posts on her Instagram Stories, two weeks after her July 27 arrest at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
