Mainly sunny skies are back on Wednesday, warming temperatures a little. However, light snow returns on Thursday morning in the Denver weather forecast.

Snow is continuing to fall along the metro, creating hazardous road conditions for the Tuesday morning commute.

Metro Denver and its surrounding suburbs will see between 2 and 6 inches of snow between Monday and Tuesday, NWS forecasters said.

Tuesday we saw mostly cloudy skies with highs in the low 20s and some flurries. Wednesday we will have sunny skies; warmer with highs in the upper 30s. Thursday look for cloudy skies, it will be breezy with highs in the mid-30s and a slight chance of snow before noon and furries after noon and breezy;

A winter weather advisory for metro Denver and several areas of northeastern Colorado is in effect until noon Tuesday.

A Pinpoint Weather Alert Day will be in effect Tuesday as snowfall moves into Denver’s weather Monday night through Tuesday morning creating slick driving conditions. FOX31 Chief Meteorologist Dave Fraser has a closer look at where the storm impacts will be the worst.
