There is no strike in Orange County, but local workers are honoring a picket line in a strike over a Republic Services contract back east.

The Teamsters union said it has picket lines up at Republic Services locations in San Diego, Los Angeles, and Seattle. Other strikes against Republic, a national waste management firm, have begun in Georgia and Illinois.

Thousands of residents in Stockton could see delays in their trash services as waste workers in San Joaquin County hit the picket line.
