For a couple of hours today, the mixed martial arts (MMA) world was rocked briefly when rumors swirled that former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) two-division champion Conor McGregor had been removed from the UFC roster;
Combat sports reporter Ariel Helwani also confirmed his status with the UFC, announcing he had not parted ways with the MMA leaders. He also revealed what McGregor told him amid his plot to return to action. "Conor McGregor HAS NOT parted ways the UFC," Helwani wrote on X.
Despite his absence from the sport, McGregor is one of the wealthiest athletes on the planet, with OLGB estimating his net worth at a whopping €176m.
