Whataburger is also introducing a new drink flavor to its menu as a part of the anniversary celebration. The Mexican Hot Chocolate Coffee (iced and hot) and Mexican Hot Chocolate Shake, which combine the best of chocolate and cinnamon, will also be available starting Tuesday, Jan. 7. Customers can add the flavors to coffee or to a shake.

Whataburger will bring back two discontinued menu items in celebration of its 75th birthday this year. The Monterey melt and chicken fajita taco are returning to the menu amid what the San Antonio-based fast food chain describes as high customer demand. An online petition started in 2023 also appealed for the melt’s return.
