Dec 9, 2024 · Yes. Muse Hub and Audacity are two separate things. Muse Hub is more like a portal and sales vehicle. One of the things it can do is download Audacity. Audacity is a standalone application that does not rely on Muse Hub. I no longer keep Muse Hub installed. I found it to be buggy and salesy. The few tools I tried didn’t help much.

Jul 12, 2012 · Many-many of my MP3s “show red” in Audacity, but that’s because the MP3 peaks go over 0dB but they aren’t really clipped. Personally, it’s not something I worry about. As far as I know, if you do clip your DAC, the slight clipping isn’t audible and if you’re playing MP3s you’ve already decided to use a lossy “imperfect” format.
