Jun 12, 2018 · solid MnO2 is actually pretty hazardous, breathing the dust causes manganism (Parkinson-like brain damage), it happens to miners working in manganese ore mines, it used to be frequent with workers making AA batteries too. Best way to dispose MnO2 is to wet it and spoon it wet as a paste into a solid waste container, to avoid creating dust.
Is 365nm or 395nm better for detection for spicy glass?
Jan 3, 2024 · Manganese is cool in its own way, but it’s not uranium and will generally only glow under a 365. I guess long story short: unless you’re looking for manganese, go with a 395. Most bulbs and light strips are 395 or higher, so you’d know what kind of glow you’re going to get from a bulb in a lamp/strip light etc. if you have a 395 flashlight.

Dec 11, 2019 · "High quality High Carbon" is a red flag without an actual name of the steel. Some of the cheapest and simplest, horrible edge holding steel can be considered "high carbon ". And then their "better" steel is a German Manganese steel? Give me a break.
