Dawn Michelle Staley (born May 4, 1970) [1] is an American basketball coach and former player who is the head coach for the South Carolina Gamecocks women's basketball team.

Since thrusting South Carolina into the national spotlight when she was hired in May 2008, Dawn Staley has made the Gamecocks a mainstay in the battle for SEC and national championships.
