Before choosing a career, she initially wanted to study teaching or marketing but all these dreams were shattered when she met veteran gospel singer Elias Musakwa in 2000. She became part of his backing vocalists at a church function when one of his backing vocalists pulled out. Fortunaltely she had her demo with a few songs which she gave to Musakwa after that show.
