Tonka, a big Standardbred gelding who came in from our most recent Buy Out, had struggled to walk and appeared injured during our intake and assessment. Admittedly, we were mentally preparing for the worst for this big beautiful boy, but to our relief, we had only found a large abscess in his left hind hoof that was causing him discomfort.
