Lacey Ellen Fletcher was a 36-year-old woman from Slaughter, Louisiana, who suffered from severe disabilities, including autism and neurological impairments that left her mostly immobile and dependent on caregivers. Fully conscious but unable to feed, move, or care for herself, she relied entirely on her parents.
