Yesterday (イエスタデイ) on Instagram: "琉球藍染 工程｜沖縄 沖縄で受け継がれてきた琉球藍染の工程について、藍染職人の早瀬泉さんが説明してくださいました。 まず、収穫した藍の葉を水に入れ、石灰を加えます。やがて沈殿が始まります。 気温が24度ほど保たれた状態で、収穫から2日半ほどで次の工程へ。 沈んだ色素と石灰を分け、上澄みを抜き、新しい水を加える。 この作業を3〜4回繰り返しながら、不純物を漉し取り、精製していきます。 最終的に残るのは、下に重く溜まるペースト状の藍。 一桶で20〜25kgほどになりますが、これを作るために160kg分の藍葉が必要になります。 この藍が甕に入り、染めの工程へと進みます。 布はあらかじめ、糊や汚れを落としたうえで染液に浸されます。 数分浸して空気に当てると、緑色だった布が次第に青へと変わっていきます。 洗っては染める、その繰り返しの中で、琉球藍の色は定着していきます。 #琉球藍染 #藍染 #沖縄 #伝統工芸 #染色 Ryukyu Indigo Dyeing Process | Okinawa The process of Ry
