ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ਦੇ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਮੁਫ਼ਤ ਅਤੇ ਲਾਜ਼ਮੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਐਕਟ 2009 ਵਿੱਚ ਲੋੜੀਂਦੀ ਸੋਧ ਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਜਾਗਰ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਐਕਟ ਲਈ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ 6 ਤੋਂ 14 ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਬਜਾਏ ਵਧਾ 18 ਸਾਲ ਤੱਕ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ 'ਤੇ ਚਾਨਣਾ ਪਾਇਆ। ਜਿਸ ਤਹਿਤ ਹਰ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਬਾਰ੍ਹਵੀਂ ਜਮਾਤ ਤੱਕ ਮੁਫ਼ਤ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਸਕੇ। Highlighted the need for an ammendment to Right of Children to Free & Compulsory Education Act, 2009, to include students till 18 yrs instead of the current age criterion of 6 to 14 yrs.
