Nearly 70 animals arrived in Western New York from shelters in North Carolina and Georgia, seeking homes after recent hurricanes. Thanks to the BISSELL Pet Foundation and Race For Life Rescue, 42 dogs and 27 cats landed yesterday in Buffalo. Taking in such a large number of animals is no small feat, and it could have been overwhelming for our organization alone. However, our community’s spirit of empathy and kindness truly shone through.
