The 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, also known as the "Six Triple Eight," was an all-Black, all-female unit in the U.S. Army during World War II. Tasked with sorting and delivering a massive backlog of mail to soldiers in Europe, their motto was "No mail, no morale."
