Christo Brand is a South African former prison guard who guarded Nelson Mandela at Robben Island Prison and Pollsmoor Prison. The two went on to have a decades-long friendship. Listen as Brand tells his #MyMandela story, including the tale of how he once smuggled a baby into Robben Island so Mandela could meet his granddaughter.
