We had this beautiful, young female Short-eared Owl for 3 days after it was passed over to Phil Harris by the Shetland Vets for its final journey back to full health and release. This owl had been rescued from an oil rig in the North Sea and brought to Shetland by helicopter! During the owls time with us, it was both fed initially, and then fed itself small mice and quickly became stronger, clearly healthy and ready for release.
