Born on October 25, 1957, in Dayton, Ohio, she grew up in Kettering, Ohio. She discovered her talent for distinct voices at a young age, winning a school-wide speech competition in the fourth grade. In 1987, she originally went to audition for the role of Lisa Simpson for the animated shorts on The Tracey Ullman Show. However, she became more intrigued by
